Garnet has stopped laying eggs. I still haven't figured out why but suspect mites. I've been dusting her with DE and sprinkled it around the coop. I have seen a slight improvement in how she looks and am hoping she will get through this quickly. I'm not as concerned with the egg production but more for how she feels.

Now that the snow is gone from the ground they get to go into the run nearly every day. I wish I was more comfortable with letting them into the yard, but I worry that they would get out through a hole in the fence or something. Depending on how things go, I might set up something so they can at leat use the section of the yard nearest the house. Then I don't have that much to fill in.

I won't be planting anything in the ground this year. The house is up for sale and, while I know I most likely won't have to leave right away, I'd rather not put that much effort into something just to leave it behind.
